PREVENT YOURSELF FROM MOSQUITO-BORNE DISEASES!

*Teach children to be aware of mosquito activity and how to prevent bites.

*Use a repellent with an EPA-approved active ingredient (learn more about repellents and DEET effectiveness).

*Remove standing water around your home to help reduce mosquito populations.

*Wear long sleeves/pants, when possible, to help reduce skin exposure.

*Repair screens on doors and windows and seal potential entry routes around air conditioners.

*Mosquitoes are typically most active between dusk to dawn - so take extra precautions while enjoying activities during these hours.
