We want your input! Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Survey

Foxborough Seeking Input on Hazard Mitigation Plan

From the major floods of 2010 to the “bomb-cyclone” of 2018, nature reminds us that Foxborough is at risk from natural hazards.  What can be done to minimize risks?  Foxborough is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan and is asking for public participation to make sure it addresses the needs of residents and visitors.

The plan discusses the risks from, and impacts of, floods, winter storms, high winds, hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, and dam failure.  The plan identifies actions Foxborough can take before hazards occur to reduce property damage, economic loss, injury, and loss of life.  The plan will also identify changes since 2012 in local hazard risks, vulnerable elements of the community, and hazard mitigation capabilities.

Foxborough is soliciting public input from residents and regular visitors to Foxborough through an online survey.  The survey is expected to take about 10 minutes to complete, and survey-takers may skip any questions they don’t wish to answer.
